Our Alumni are part of the Harrigan Foundation family. We believe in supporting our Alumni in the recovery process through the lifespan. To this end we have a number of programs for our alumni to participate in after they leave treatment.
The Stay in Touch Program
The stay in touch program is a phone and internet based initiative to maintain contact with our alumni to support them in the recovery process and help in times of crisis. We offer all of our alumni the opportunity to participate in our stay in touch aftercare program.
The Parent Education Project
The parent education project is an educational support program offered to our alumni to help them learn parent skills and to help break the cycle of intergenerational addiction.
The Adult Children of Alcoholics Support Initiative
Many recovering alcoholics and their spouses are adult children of alcoholics. Being raised in an alcoholic home creates many issues that directly affect personal relationships. The Harrigan Foundation offers ACOA healing retreats for our alumni. These retreats are based on the best selling 12 Steps to Self parenting.
Recovery Coaches
The Harrigan Foundation offers recovery coaching to alumni. Recovery coaches help in the process of establishing long term recovery by offering connections to the recovery community and provides ongoing support in the recovery process.
Hand to Hand Referral Program
Our alumni are our best advocates for treatment. We work with our alumni to spread the message of recovery in the communities they live in and teach them how to become a bridge to treatment for those who seek help. |
